Rearrange Cap & Wheel like Snake

  • Once every Cap or Wheel seat is filled, eligible slots get a rearrange grip — same tap-two swap Snake already used. Tap one player, tap another eligible seat, done. Drag still works if you prefer it.
  • Confirm holds briefly while the grips pulse so you notice you can still move people before you lock. Timed auto-lock (Mirror rearrange, Battlegrounds draft clock) still fires on schedule — the hint never blocks AFK lock-in.
  • Cap packs across MLB, NHL, and NBA got another honesty pass: scores and favorites track the board you drafted a little more cleanly. Same rules, tighter feel.

Deeper NBA boards

  • NBA lineups are 10 slots now: the same PG–C, G, F, and coach, plus BIG (centers and power forwards) and UTIL (guards and wings). Flex seats still match real positions — the pool never labels someone just “G” or “F”.
  • The salary cap stays $100,000. Stars get squeezed so a full nine-player plus coach board still fills; Budget Brawl stays $75k.
  • The rotation actually plays four bench bodies. Starters sit closer to a real 32–34 minutes instead of eating the whole night.
  • Old NBA saved boards are gone — same hard cut as the NFL 12-slot expand. Draft a new lineup.

Richer tapes in every league

  • NHL games finally look like hockey. Faceoffs, hits, giveaways, and takeaways fire with real player credit, and the rink reacts — a pulse on the draw, a burst by the boards or in the zone — instead of a bland ticker line.
  • MLB play-by-play fills in the chaos between at-bats: wild pitches, passed balls, balks, pickoffs, steals of third and home, and smarter scoring on sac flies, fielder’s choices, and errors. Box scores now tally runs scored (R) as the tape rolls.
  • NBA whistles read cleaner. Double techs, take fouls, kicked-ball and travel/palming subtypes, and fouler credit that tracks real foul rates — bigs draw more than guards. Late-game hack-a-X goes after the worst free-throw shooter on the floor.
  • NFL defense gets named: QB hits, pass breakups, and tackles for loss show on the tape, and BattlePoints finally pay forced fumbles and blocked kicks. Kickoff muffs land when the returner can’t handle it.
  • Wheel Draft stops offering a re-roll once every slot is filled — no more grey button noise or stacked click sounds after the board is done.
  • Ties stay where football allows them and disappear where they don’t: rated 1v1 and similar modes can end even; Cup, Season, and other must-have-a-winner modes push overtime until someone takes it.
  • Decade Dominance gets its own emblem and era wordmarks so the mode looks like itself on the shelf and in battle chrome. Cancel queue keeps your decade so you can re-queue the same era board.

Truer scores, a real line on the tape, cleaner drafts

  • NFL passing finally tracks the board you drafted: yards per attempt come from served air yards, and touchdown / interception rates are trained rates — star QBs no longer collapse onto a league-average ceiling.
  • Better lineups win more often in every league. Roster talent now scripts the play-by-play in NBA, MLB, and NHL the same way it already did in NFL, so an elite roster actually plays like one.
  • The Tape Room shows a synthesized spread and over/under under the venue — built from the two drafted sides, not a Vegas feed. NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL all get a line. Focus/landscape still hides it with the rest of the full scorebug.
  • Locked battles keep each player’s real usage mix. We don’t flatten snap shares at kickoff, and PvE bosses no longer get accidental buffs on “worse is higher” rates like turnovers.
  • Shohei Ohtani is draftable as both DH and SP — two rows, same name and jersey, their own ratings and salaries. A start-day overlay no longer collapses them into one pitcher.
  • Draft pool is honest about who’s left. Already-picked and fully blocked rows stay visible but grey when you browse a position; Open hides them so the board stays clean. “Show all / Only available” only applies after you tap a position chip.
  • Cap replace keeps the full pool in view even with Only available on, so you can swap without the board vanishing. Desktop no longer hides the chips behind a Filters button — Open and positions sit under search on every screen.

MLB and NHL are live

  • Two new leagues to draft: MLB and NHL join NFL and NBA everywhere you already play — 1v1, Cup, Snake Pit, Squad, Battlegrounds, Titan Trouble, and Ref Rumble.
  • MLB boards run 12 deep: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, three OF, DH, two SPs, and a closer — no skipper slot. After you draft, set your own batting order, swap outfielders, and swap your two starters before you lock in.
  • NHL boards draft two full lines — C, LW, RW, D×2, G — plus your Coach. Rearrange freely across both lines: wingers can swap sides and defensemen can swap pairs, so your top-6 and bottom-pair end up exactly how you want them.
  • Both new sims are built from real play-by-play, not a coin flip: MLB simulates every pitch and at-bat, NHL simulates every shift and shot, right down to pulling the goalie for an extra attacker late.
  • Coaches and managers score BattlePoints too — MLB/NHL join NFL/NBA with bench-boss bonuses for shutouts, no-hitters, and other big-game moments. The sim score still decides who wins.
  • The Tape Room gets a real diamond for MLB and a real rink for NHL, so every home run, big save, and empty-net goal plays out somewhere that actually looks like the sport.
  • Ref Rumble welcomes four new bosses drafted from real MLB and NHL rosters — same free vs. SSB+ rules as always.

Deeper NFL boards, NBA coaches & Results

  • NFL lineups are 12 slots now: a second RB, a third WR, a second TE, plus Defense and Special Teams as separate units. FLEX is gone — each skill slot is strictly that position.
  • Wheel Draft gives you three rerolls per board (was one). A reroll can land the same franchise again, so spend them on purpose. Deal chips shrink so all 12 NFL slots stay on one row.
  • NFL Snake (Pit, Cup groups, 2v2) gives 45 seconds on rounds 1–2 and 30 seconds after that. The Board pane collapses finished rounds and jumps you to the live one so a 12-round grid stays readable. Squad clocks stay 60s / 10s.
  • NBA drafts a head coach now — eight slots, same as NFL’s HC. Their scheme stamps how the sim plays (pace, shots, defense, bench). No post-draft sliders.
  • Coaches score BattlePoints on both sides: a cut of the team’s offense and defense, plus bonuses for moments like a shutout, a 40-burger, or a takeaway party (NBA thresholds fit the sport). Winner is still the sim score — BPs never flip the result.
  • Titan Trouble is a shared raid lobby. Draft, join the ready pool, and the Titan picks who fights next — one bout at a time, Tape before settle. You can watch without attacking. Appear slams are in-app now.
  • Your battles live under Results (not buried on Profile). Week and month Almanac cards recap peak BR, biggest win, and favorite mode — tap to share the text. Public @handles show Cup, Battlegrounds, and Season places. Ladder cards show SoV next to BR.
  • Mint a spectator link from a battle so a friend can Watch without being in the match. Historic Watch from feeds or Results opens the Battle Report first; Tape stays opt-in.
  • Play streak ticks when you draft or sit down — cosmetic day-count only, never power. Invite by handle for Recruiter flair (same rule: never Cap, never rated boost).
  • Phone drafts stay compact through a Wheel spin. Sit-down hubs (Cup, Snake, Squad, Battlegrounds, Season, Titan) update live instead of sitting stale. Battlegrounds has Arena Watch. Cap Compare is a tap on mode hubs.
  • Forgot-password and email-verify work end to end, including a resend from Settings. SportsSimBattles.com shows live 1v1 Cap and Wheel ladders when a season has results — empty boards stay hidden.
  • Drafting Brian Robinson Jr. asks if you meant Bijan. You didn’t. Guest Wheel and Snake grades were rebalanced for the new NFL board so letters still mean what they used to.

Play shelf, draft & VS polish

  • Home shelf leads with Play → 1v1 lobby; More modes expands the full catalog. Free plays sit in one chip; NFL | NBA stays on the shelf.
  • Welcome and guest paths share a draft→tape try illustration so new players see the verb before signing up.
  • Cap draft: clearer first-run coach, Advanced knobs gated until you’ve drafted once, and a portrait focus strip to pin two players for a quick compare.
  • VS keeps Watch the tape as the hero. Breakdown slides up as a sheet. After a loss, Study this tape jumps into Highlights reel.
  • Tape Room stays at 1× with a permanent Highlights reel toggle; Watch from VS skips the staredown. Play again starts a fresh draft in the same mode — not a rematch.
  • Feel controls: Quiet shelf calms HOT tilt and news rotation; light mode gets an ink wordmark and branded chrome glyphs (no emoji sun/moon/fire).
  • Season Sprint is all-PvP now — open tables, Cap or Wheel, week-by-week standings instead of a solo AI slate.
  • Cup, Snake Pit, Squad, and Battlegrounds keep the sit-down lobby polish: clearer status strips, invite hardening, and DraftKings-style snake draft rooms.

Open tables, Tape polish & preference controls

  • Cup, Snake Pit, Squad, and Battlegrounds keep house open tables ready — sit down without hosting.
  • Mode shelf HOT badge now tracks real recent activity (not a random stub).
  • Theme chip next to mute on the play shelf: flip light / dark without digging into Settings.
  • Inbox prefs: turn match-found, battle results, challenges, and contests on or off per category (defaults stay on).
  • Tape Room: jersey number + position chips (no athlete/coach headshots), cleaner transport chrome, cyan/amber house sides.
  • Cap boards refreshed — salary bands rebalanced and DST packages show their base front (3-4 or 4-3).

0.5 ·

  • Sign up sits front and center on the home page (Try it before sign up still right next door).
  • Privacy and Terms now have a jump-to-section menu.
  • Signed-out play screen got a boss cameo and tidier buttons.
  • Guest Snake rooms can fill empty seats in staging when we’re testing bots.

How sims work

  • New public page at SportsSimBattles.com/how-sims-work: how seeds work, how we calibrate, and how we keep outcomes fair.
  • In-app transparency badge on the competition shelf, plus Help, Settings, and account menu links.

Mode wordmarks & Hardcore Arena

  • Hardcore Arena moved in with Versus (right after 1v1). Still its own daily run, not the shared Showcase pool.
  • Mode pages get signature wordmarks (Hardcore Arena, Ref Rumble, Battlegrounds, Titan Trouble, SSB Cup) plus a Back control at the bottom.
  • Ref Rumble: league + Cap/Wheel filters on one row, clearer free vs SSB+ copy, Cap draft / Wheel draft labels.
  • Showcase modes show how many of your 3 shared free entries remain today; Battlegrounds greys larger lobbies for free players when needed.

0.2 ·

Try a free draft

  • New guest funnel on play: try Snake or Wheel without an account, get a graded preview, then sign up to take a lineup into battle.
  • Guest Wheel uses a Cap-board style draft board (search, drag-and-drop, split lineup + pool).
  • Boss gallery renamed to Ref Rumble; shelf and help copy updated to match.

0.1 ·

Web play & competition shelf

  • Play Sports Sim Battles in your browser: draft Cap or Wheel, then watch the match in The Tape Room.
  • Competition shelf covers Versus, Boss Battles, Showcase Battles, and Friendlies.
  • SSB+ stays more access and tools, not better odds.
